Church Chicken Casserole
When we think of casseroles, we can’t help but think about those good ol’ church functions with all the great food on the table! This recipe originated out of one of our old church cookbooks and we’ve used it often. Easy, delicious, flavorful, and so easy! Note, where we used rotisserie chicken, you can certainly cook your own, and use the broth from that as well. This is the way we do it.

1 rotisserie chicken
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
2 cans chicken broth
1 stick melted butter
1 package stuffing (we use Pepperidge Farm)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Pull chicken off the bone of the rotisserie chicken and shred. Debone, whatever you want to call it:) Place in a large bowl.
- Add in both soups and the broth with the shredded chicken. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine your melted butter and stuffing (we use the herb flavored sometimes and we crush ours a little before using). Pour one half of this into your chicken mixture and still well. Place chicken mixture into a casserole dish. Cover the chicken mixture with the rest of your stuffing and place in oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes depending on your oven. Ours takes about 50 minutes.
