So easy and so delicious, especially for all you shrimp lovers! Full of juicy flavors, veggies, a tiny bit of heat… all combined for a rich delicious meal!
B’s Crock Pot Shrimp Gumbo
1 large onion chopped (approx 1 cup)
1 medium green pepper chopped (approx 1 cup)
2 stalks celery chopped (approx 1 cup)
3 garlic cloves minced
2 cans diced tomatoes (28 oz. each) undrained
2 cups fully cooked smoked sausage chopped
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce of your choice
1 pound uncooked peeled and deveined shrimp (thawed)
- Mix all ingredients together in crock pot EXCEPT shrimp and rice. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours depending on your crock pot.
- Stir in shrimp, cover, and cook on low another hour until shrimp is pink
