B’s Crock Pot Shrimp Gumbo

So easy and so delicious, especially for all you shrimp lovers! Full of juicy flavors, veggies, a tiny bit of heat… all combined for a rich delicious meal!

B’s Crock Pot Shrimp Gumbo



Prep time




  • 1 large onion chopped (approx 1 cup)

  • 1 medium green pepper chopped (approx 1 cup)

  • 2 stalks celery chopped (approx 1 cup)

  • 3 garlic cloves minced

  • 2 cans diced tomatoes (28 oz. each) undrained

  • 2 cups fully cooked smoked sausage chopped

  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce of your choice

  • 1 pound uncooked peeled and deveined shrimp (thawed)


  • Mix all ingredients together in crock pot EXCEPT shrimp and rice. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours depending on your crock pot.
  • Stir in shrimp, cover, and cook on low another hour until shrimp is pink
