Another Broken Egg: Morrisville
Morrisville, North Carolina is less than an hour from our home, and yet, we’ve not been there other than to pass through. We set out on a mission to find a new brunch place and Another Broken Egg in Morrisville was calling our name and came highly recommended.
The staff was wonderful from the first person to greet us to our server! And the menu offered plenty of options while not being overwhelming. I had the shrimp and grits and while I’ve had some great shrimp and grits over the years, this one might be my new all-time favorite! It was filled with just enough gulf shrimp, andouille (of which I am not usually a fan), that had all been sauteed with red peppers and onions. The sauce though – it got me! They call it their spicy low country reduction, I call it A-MAZ-ING! It’s all served over creamy cheese grits with garlic bread and lemon on the side. The garlic bread was so good, it was way more than a side note!
My husband had the Southwest Scrambler and my mother-in-law, who was along for the fun, had the Sunrise Spinach Scrambler. They both loved their dishes as well! Check out their brunch menu here. We can’t wait to go back and try something else, the menu is great!
After our meal, we were stuffed, but did that matter when we saw there was a Crumbl Cookies next door? No!! None of us had ever been to a Crumbl Cookies and we left with a six pack full of sugary goodness – that didn’t last long. To see them baking in front of you, to know they change flavors every week, to see the server boxing your goodies and putting the finishing touches on while you watch…. gah! I’ve got to get back there and soon! This trip, we got the Cowboy Cookies, Raspberry Doughnut Cookies, and Oreo. Yummmm!
Where will we go on this week’s Weekly Wandering? Can’t wait to show you!
