Big Bob’s & Yoder’s Market
On our recent Wandering Wednesday, we picked up my mother-in-law, Jo, and took off to Hillsborough, North Carolina. We wanted to try out what all the hype was about at Big Bob’s City Grill… but we drove right past it because it’s a little hole in the wall type place. That’s not a bad thing at all, it’s just not a large restaurant, and it’s easy to miss! BUT the small location did not speak loud enough for the taste of the food which was delicious!
Big Bob’s has been around for over 15 years and we’d never heard of it until we read the reviews. They did not disappoint! Jo had their Philly Cheesesteak, B had the flounder plate, and I had the pork chop sandwich. It was all so good! In fact, my pork chop was so large, it covered the two pieces of bread laying side by side (see picture!). It was all AMAZING and we will definitely be heading back to Big Bob’s soon!
After Big Bob’s, we headed to Blanche to Yoder’s Market. Y’all – you simply have to check out this place if you’re in the Caswell County area. It is an Amish market full of great food products, craft items, a few clothing items and candles, and the most adorable little country grill counter with homemade ice cream and delicious food (as if we needed more!). We shopped, got some homemade sourdough breads, sat and had a cup of coffee and the best lemon blueberry cake, another place we have to go back to.
What a great day!
